JAVA BALI OVERLAND

JAVA BALI OVERLAND ( 14 DAYS)

DAY 1. JAKARTABOGOR (*)

Today, our guide will pick you up in the meeting point and start our overland journey to visit Bogor. Its about 2 hours drive to the hotel. Overnight In hotel.

DAY 2 . BOGORBANDUNG (*)

After breakfast, We drive you to Botanical Garden and Zoological Museum, then to Gunung Mas tea production. After that continue to Bandung, on the way we will passing trough the huge tea plantation in Puncak area, then to Gunung Mas tea production. which has beautiful sightseeing “a green view” as well . Lunch at local restaurant in Puncak Pass, then overnight at HOTEL PARANGGRO (3 star).

DAY 3. BANDUNG EXCURSION (*)

Breakfast at hotel, then visiting Tangkuban Perahu, a smouldering 2000 m wide, surrealistic volcano 1800 above se level. Then continued to ciater Hot spring with passing trough the huge wonderful tea plantation. Here, you will have lunch and possible to take a bath in the hot natural water pool. Afternoon back to Bandung with stop at Padasuka Village to enjoy the angklung (traditional bamboo instrument) performance at Saung Angklung Ujo. Overnight at hotel.

DAY 4. BANDUNG – PANGANDARAN (*)

After breakfast at hotel, drive to Pangandaran via Garut with visit Kampung Naga, one of the most beautiful traditional villages in West Java, on the way. Then proceed to cross the border to Pangandaran passing Teakwood and Rubber Plantation . Lunch will be served at local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at SUNSET HOTEL (3 star)

DAY 5. FULL DAY TOUR PANGANDARAN (*)

Morning after breakfast, leave the hotel for a day excursion by visits Pangandaran National Park, home of hundreds (Long-tail Macaque), wild buffalo, Barking deer and other few species of animal. Country side excursion to see the local people make a cocking oil, Brown sugar, Cracker etc. Visit “Green Canyon” one of the most famous tourist attraction in Pangandaran. Afterward return to hotel, rest of the day is free own your leausure.

DAY 6. PANGANDARAN - ANAKAN LAGOON - CILACAP – WONOSOBO (*)

The backwater trip from Kalipucang to Cilacap is a highlight of any visit to this area. The 4-hours journey travels across the Anakan Lagoon passing fishing village en route by boat. We arrive in Cilacap and continue by road to HOTEL SURYA (3 star) in Wonosobo.

DAY 7. DIENG PLATEAU – BOROBUDUR – YOGYAKARTA (*)

Dieng plateau is small monuments, which are not more than 50 feet high stand on a crater floor amidst sulfurous fumes and underlined by the presence of a few of the starkest Shivaite temples at an elevation of more than 6000 feet, are impressive. The site is located three hours rom Yogyakarta. In the site, visitor will see some of the oldest Hindu temples of Java. One the way to Borobudur, visitors will pass trough tobacco plantations and beautiful mountain scenery. Borobudur is built of gray andesite stone. It rises to seven terraces each smaller than the one below it. The top is the Great Stupa, standing 40 m above the ground. The walls of the Borobudur are sculptured in bas - relief extending over a total length and most complete ensemble of Buddist relieves in the world, unsurpassed in artistic merit. In the evening return to HOTEL INDAH PALACE (3 star) in Yogyakarta.

DAY 8. FREE PROGRAM TOUR (*)

Yogyakarta is a favorite of many travelers and certainly one of the Indonesia’s most pleasant cities. This is the culture center of Java and the best place to see wayang performance and traditional dance. As Yogyakarta is a major craft center it is one the best place to shop in Indonesia. Many artists reside here, offering very fine batik and modern paintings. The Sultan’s Palace, the Water Castle of Taman Sari, and interesting market can all be seen in a day of sightseeing. Today is free day to wonder and explore the delightful town. In the evening after dinner, proceed to Sultan Palace area to see Puppet Letter Performance.

DAY 9. FREE PROGRAM TOUR (*)

After breakfast is free day tour to Malioboro Street the heart of culture and art in Java for shoping. Then after lunch visit the magnificent 9th century Hindu temple of Prambanan temple. In the evening after dinner, proceed to see Ramayana ballet Performance.

DAY 10. YOGYAKARTA - SOLO – MALANG (*)

After breakfast at hotel, Proceed to Solo to visit a two century old palace of King Pakubuwono and The royal residence of Prince Mangkunegoro, Then continued to GRIYA CAKRA HOTEL in Malang (*)

DAY 11. MALANG – TUMPANG – BROMO (*)

We travel today to mount Bromo, an active volcano that stand at 2.329 Meters. It's located in the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park. The slope of the mountain is cultivated by the local Tenggerese farmers with the market of vegetables. The Tenggerese history can be traced back to the peoples from mount Merapi. They are the only group of Hindus left in Java today. Take jeep 4x4 WD we explore the sea of sand at Bromo area From Tumpang to HOTEL LAVA VIEW (standard hotel).

DAY 12. BROMO – KALIBARU VILLAGE (*)

Morning call at 03.00 Am and start you journey at 04.00 Am to enjoy the beauty of nature and spending sunrise at Pananjakan by Jeep 4x4 WD. The proceed to Mt. Bromo crater through the shimmering sea of sand (horseback riding included) and then return to our hotel for breakfast before we continue our journey to Kalibaru Village. Dinner and overnight at KALIBARU COTTAGE or similar.

DAY 13. KALIBARU VILLAGE (*)

A full day free at leisure, an orientation of small plantation tour will be provided. An optional for the big plantation tour included lunch can be arranged to see the plantation and visit the rubber factory.

DAY 14. MOUNT IJEN EXCURSION - DROP BALI

Breakfast at Guest house early morning depart to the whole day excursion to Mt. Ijen. Ijen crater shows a special type of volcanic feature common to Indonesia, about 1 km in diameter and 175 meters deep. The flooris covered, completely by a warm lake, milky blue green in color, held back by a dam built many years ago by the Dutch, in order to keep the hot mineral, laden water from raining for the crop lands below. Trekking down the mountain and re enjoin the coach and directly drive to Ketapang, Banyuwangi., the Ferry harbour to cross to Gilimanuk harbour Bali. Three hours later you will arrive at your hotel in Lovina/ Kuta area.

DAY 1. JAKARTABOGOR (*)

DAY 15. LOVINA (FREE PROGRAM)

DOLPHIN : Watching & Snorkeling tour at 06.00 Am in the morning. The day is free to relax on the beach, a well earned rest after the early start yesterday! The beaches are black here in the contrast to the south as the sand is Volcanic. There is a good snorkeling on the reef and a trip out on local boat can be organized locally for these who are interested.

DAY 16. LOVINA - UBUD (*)

After breakfast around at 08.00 Am, continuing trip cross the Bedugul for the trip to central of BALI / UBUD. On the way to visit :

SINGARAJA : It was a center and being the administrative center of the island during the years of Dutch colonialism up to 1953 (now the capital is in Denpasar, in the south of Bali). We will remains during Dutch period, there being influence of Chinese and Muslims.

GIT-GIT WATER FALL : The beautiful water fall in Git-git is about 700 meters from the main road, with many species plantation, between the pedestrian. There are many local souvenir shop whit many local crafts. It's stupendous place to take a bath or, simply just seating on rock of the river and to enjoy the views of river valley whit 30 meters of water fall.

MOUNT CATUR FOREST : The forest with hundreds of monkeys near by the lake Buyan. It's wonderful views of the lake, fields and villages. We can buy the food for friendly families of monkeys and take photos whit them.

LAKE BRATAN : This is a beautiful view to the hills, a recreation park, fresh temperature. In order tropical botanical garden, colorfully flowers with the lake of Bratan and it's lake temple was built in 1634, for the God of the lake )God of the fertility of the farmers). It's located in the village of candi Kuning, in district of Baturini and region of Tabanan. This is the second great lake in Bali (among of fours lake, the lake Batur is the biggest). In here we can make pictures with the snakes and giant bats.

CANDI KUNING MARKET : In here where the local people sell their local natural product such as tropical fruits, vegetables, spices and flowers and also local handicrafts. Very good place to taste and to learn varieties of local natural tropical fresh product.

PACUNG : Volcano panoramic to eastern and panoramic gradually of rice, villages and others wonderful views on south of the island. Here is ascended by the fresh humid mountain.

Then we stay in hotel in UBUD.

DAY 17. UBUD TOUR. (FREE PROGRAM)

Ubud is the culture center of Bali and home to number of artists. Galleries are found every where in town. There are plenty of walk walks to enjoy within town itself or to the nigh boring villages which have managed to maintain their district identitier. After breakfast around 08.00 Am from hotel we will visit:

CELUK : A village with about 80% from the people work as gold & silver smith. They work in detail brilliant decorate with filigree and it's precious stone. They are sold with reasonable prices. This village is in district of Sukawati and region of Gianyar.

BATUAN VILLAGE : Here, we will visit “ The traditional house compound”, the structure of the house in the old traditional, which typically house two or three generations of families, village lanes, grouped in units called Banjar, whit the calm simplicity of their small houses, their daily life and their animals you would feel real culture of Bali. The Compound is a micro cosmos of the Hindu Bali universe with realism for the Gods, man and the impure spirits. The houses in Bali are the pavilions for ceremonies, sleeping and day to day activities.

MAS : In this village 85% from them work on the wood (good quality of the wood carving), the craver select their wooden block and then they crave the rough from by an axe, with mallet and dozens of small chisels. The detail wood carving is also carved with delicate forms by the Balinese artist. They are made from ebony, wooden, mahogany, sandal wood, teak and others local wood. This town is in the district Ubud, region of Gianyar.

GOA GAJAH TEMPLE : Elephant cave , a hindu meditation center dating back to 11th century.

TAMPAK SIRING : To see the holy spring water Temple Tirta Empul.

KINTAMANI : Place to wonder the active volcano, the mountain and the lake Batur with their crater and the landscapes in around. This volcano had eruption in 1917 another in 1926/7 and other 1963. large of black lava on the valley of the crater with the largest Lake in Bali wit great view as far as your eyes can see. This village is called Penelokan, in the district of Kintamani and region of Bangli, It has a high 1500 meters of the level, being the quite fresh temperatures.

BESAKIH TEMPLE : Located in the feet of the mount Agung in the village of Besakih, Rendang district and the region of Karang Asem. This temple dedicated a Sang Hyang Widhi Wasa, The supreme God. For that reason, this temple they are called “ The Mother Temple” ( The biggest in Bali) of those among 300.000 temples that exist in Bali. It was built in VII Century by Priest Markandia. A priest was came from the island of Java. Until arriving there, we will be surprised beauty of the spectacular landscape and agricultures.

Return thought Bangli town to see the 13th century Kehen Temple and breathtaking view to rice terraces and palm trees at Bukit Jati.

DAY 18. UBUD - KUTA (*)

Leave the hotel after breakfast to continue our journey south west to Sanur Beach. En route stop to enjoy performance of “Barong Dance” afterward “Alas Kedaton” the monkey forest before visit the famous ”Ulu Watu Temple”.

BATU BULAN : To attend Barong and Keris dance performance.

ALAS KEDATON / TAMAN AYU TEMPLE : In here there is forest of the monkeys and the village temple with an interesting statue of the monkeys, real monkeys and giant bats hanging on branches of the tree, the monkeys are amusing we can feed them. The sellers persons will company you during your visit in here and they make sure that you safe walking among the monkeys.

DAY 19. FREE PROGRAM

TANAH LOT : From all temple in Bali, the most popular is Tanah Lot, located in small but spectacular rocky island, well known and photographed place in Bali. It is magnify, so much smoothly illuminated on day light of the sun dawn or profiled at dark. It is very touristy with the group visitors, especially in sunset time.

KUTA : is Bali's biggest tourist beach area. It's still the best beach on Bali. Especially since the activities of the hawkers have been restricted, and watching the spectacular sunset is almost an evening ritual. Kuta has the only surf on the island, which breaks over sand instead of corals, and the beginner surfer can wipe out without being cut to pieces on the reefs. Day is free own your leisure to relax your last day in Bali by relaxing on the white sandy beach of Kuta There is a huge choice of places to eat, and a growing number shops with everything from genuine arrangements end after dinner.

DAY 20. BALI OUT (*)

After breakfast in Hotel, continuing your other plan or you need the extra night during your visit in Bali and beyond
